BATAVIA, IL
The Batavia Colliders waited until the 11th hour to secure the services of cornerback Charles Tillman for another season. Tillman will be receiving a big pay increase following his Pro Bowl season that culminated with a 20-point performance in Immersion Bowl II.
Tillman has been a consistent performer each year at a position that is riddled with inconsistency.
“Cornerback is a crapshoot,” said Colliders’ GM Josh Hammond. “Charles plays in a defense that allows him to rack up a lot of tackles. And he has demonstrated the ability to take it to the house on an occasional interception. We think it’s worth $9.86 to keep Charles Tillman around. The dude can play, and he can mentor the young corners we plan on bringing in.”
The signing of Tillman seems to dim the possibility that the Colliders would meet the holdout demands of corner Patrick Peterson. Peterson wants Tillman money, but sources close to Colliders’ headquarters indicate that management is leaning towards letting Peterson sit for the first half of the season.
The Colliders also parted ways with oft-injured running back Montario Hardesty. Hardesty failed to impress when he was given the ball last year, and he will only be a backup in the NFL.

I’m not sure if you realize how often I regret not franchising Tillman after the leagues first year. And then franchising him again this year. My CB woes have been abundant ever since.
I’m kind of breaking my own rule about paying corners a lot of money, but he just seems to tackle the shit out of people every game (even if he doesn’t get that many interceptions.)
