River on Fire Side Chat: Cleveland Battery Week One Review

The Week One post game rant of Cleveland Battery Owner and Head Coach Ben Pershey will not printed here in full. The man is a loose cannon and this is a family-oriented league blog, right? Oh, it isn’t? Well then let’s roll the proverbial tape.
“What we saw out there on the field was crap. This might be the worst team in league history. I mean, c’mon, this ain’t powder puffs we’re facing. The G.D. F’ing Colliders just demolished us. Some of our players will never recover. And good, because we suck. You want good copy for your papers, or blog, or whatever the hell you’re writing for. Here you go, write this – if this team, my team, wins two games this season, then I’ll give you my salary. It ain’t happening so don’t go buying a car you can’t afford. You want me to talk about what players scored how many points. What the F does it matter? That’s it, I guess I’ll talk to you next week after our loss.”

  1. I like that Cleveland Battery post-game press conferences are the same as any losing team whose coach is going to be fired imminently. This reminds me of Dennis Green flipping out.
