  1. I got Buffalo as wild card. It is far fetched but I like their offense and their defense.

San Fransisco might not be able to field a team with early retirements, arrests, and no stadium security.

  2. Ben- nice write up. However, you’re higher than a kite if you think Oregon is going to win the division. I’m Carson Wentzing my way through the first four weeks. Check that, three weeks. Don’t have a quarterback that isn’t either on a bye, suspended, or holding out in Week 4. Lovely.

Also, call me a homer, but I don’t think the Niners are going to be the league basement dwellers that everybody thinks they are. I’m willing to take the OVER at 6.5 wins. If this team can stumble their way to 5 wins with Jim Tomsula as their coach (while picking up losses in the last 2 minutes in games against the Giants and Cardinals), and lose every game but one on the road (because we can always count on beating the Bears)….surely Chip can bring enough structure to the organization to NOT be worse. Alex Boone (damnit) and Anquan Boldin are gone, but the defense got better. And for Wade Phillips to go out of this way to compliment what Chip has done with the offense in his short time there and how it put his defense in some unfavorable match-ups, it’s promising nonetheless.

Now, having said all that. I am envisioning Chip Kelly back on the Oregon sidelines in 2022 with his visor again. Or at least hoping.

Enright just peed a little bit in fear after reading that.

  3. I wanted to pick all the rams from my division. But we can’t win other divisions in paper. Oregon sort of by default. Enjoy the limelight.

I have no faith in Chip in the NFL or the current downfall known as the 49ers. It is sad. In a few short years, they have plummeted. Also, I don’t always dump on my own team – most of the time, but not always.

  4. I should know better than to tread too closely to a sleeping giant. I nearly went further in these predictions and stated that the Pirates get caught in scandal to throw their games to get the first pick in 2017.
