Colliders’ Corner – Week 8

THE LOSING STREAK CONTINUES

Whatever

BOX SCORE

Cam Newton continued to disappoint as the Colliders lost by 20 to the hated (r)EvoLUtion. Prior to the game, Franssen taunted that he was going to start Jack Doyle over TY Hilton. Unsurprisingly, Doyle had a career game and scored 20 points. Such as life for the Colliders this season.

Robby Anderson, of all people, was the offensive high scorer for the Colliders, proving to Franssen that he deserves the 7-year contract he inked in the preseason. Julio Jones went back to his 5-points a game form, and the linebackers contributed nothing, so that was cool.

What he said.

Early on, Franssen pushed the Tecmo Whine hard, and it eventually paid off. It wasn’t annoying at all to hear the owner of an undefeated team boo-hooing about absolutely everything that wasn’t going his way. Obviously, the TW worked, as it usually does.

Newly signed safety Matthias Farley, boasting a 9.5 ppg average, was pressed into action. He helpfully contributed 0.5 points, logging his first game of the season without a tackle. Nice.

The Colliders have a pointlessly winnable game against the Gridiron Gang this week, but the outcome literally doesn’t matter for their fortunes. Regardless, it might be nice to avoid a first round bye in the Most Futile Franchise tournament.

This should be a thing–ask Hammond which player to start and watch him blow up in his eye.
