When I was a ball boy during Cleveland Browns training camp during the Belichick years, a coworker was the punter for the Kent State Golden Flashes and would give the Browns punter a break every now and then. He has left footed and a rather terrible punter. His punts often looked like the proverbial duck after being shot, as opposed to Punter/QB Tom Tupa’s high and long arching spiral beauties.
Punter Ken Walter can be seen on at least one list of worst NFL players. And then there is this – Walter won 2 Super Bowls. Check out this short read: 15 year-old article
This is all to say that punters are pretty much the perfect example of the fun of quirky and nerdy fantasy sports. Find the player that will give your franchise points. Dive into the stats and forget aesthetics. And tomorrow, go find yourself an anti-Ken Walter!
