Chitons Extend Deals

Percy Harvin took a huge pay cut to stay with the Chitons. He had 2 years left on his contract and was set to make $40.26 this year and $52.34 in 2015. After a dismal 2013 campaign, the Chitons convinced him to restructure his salary to $29.34. The two-year extension has him in a Chitons uniform through 2017.

It was a brilliant move for Chitons GM Tom Rothfus. Instead of averaging $46.30/year for two more years, the Chitons get Harvin for four more years at an average yearly salary of $35.81.

Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon also fell on hard times last season. Going into the final year of his contract, Weatherspoon was slated to make $19.59. By signing a two year extension, the Chitons will pay him $13.59 instead.
