The Battery came away with scrappy victory in week 3. Despite not having any players capable of just exploding for shit-tons of points, Battery insiders are talking big going into a week 4 matchup against the 3-0 (r)EvoLUtion. No one can say why as there is no way this team can come close to scoring on level with Adam’s crew.
Battery owner and head coach Ben Pershey has recently been seen pacing and mumbling throughout the Chicagoland western suburbs. At one point, he was holding a handmade sign (cardboard and Sharpie, indeed) which read, “I’m gonna make things happen.” Battery players are rumored to be begging to be let out of their contracts.
