Tom didn’t have any early picks, but I think Hamler and Shenault, who were available, are better than the WRs they came up with. Edwards is interesting but he seems pretty ouchy.
Hurts seems like a project, and I don’t see him supplanting Wentz at any point during his 3-year contract. He may wind up filling in if Wentz gets injured, but I wouldn’t even bet on that until next year.
Chaisson is one of those classic EDGE players. Right now he’s a LB, which makes him useless. But a 5th round flyer isn’t a bad price to pay for a guy that could conceivably be changed to DE.
I thought there were better WRs available when Duvernay was selected, but that Edwards pick might be one of the steals of the draft. Was who I wanted instead of Shenault
