Cleveland Battery – nearly post rookie draft

ARLINGTON, TX - APRIL 26: Roquan Smith of Georgia poses after being picked #8 overall by the Chicago Bears during the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft at AT&T Stadium on April 26, 2018 in Arlington, Texas. (Photo by Tom Pennington/Getty Images)

1.10 Roquan Smith LB Bears

Three first round picks to none to the tenth pick.
After a heavy run on RBs, I decided to go with someone who will get a ton of immediate playing time. Smith flies around and makes things happen.

2.11 Derwin James S Chargers

I was hoping to grab TE Mike Gesicki, but he was snatched right in front of my eyes. Same theory as first round, led me to James, who plays very much like Roquan Smith – high motors with crazy athleticism, making everyone else look like they’re standing still.

3.04 Hayden Hurst TE Ravens

After missing out on Gesicki, I jumped up to take the one TE expected to start week 1. I don’t really like his game but what the hell do I know.

3.06 James Washington WR Steelers

Position of need. Didn’t want to take this Steeler, but thought he was best WR available. Traded him already.

4.07 Mark Walton RB Bengals

Hurricane backs tend to be all-purpose backs. Meanwhile, 2nd stringer Gio Bernard likes to share. I am on the fence about this one.

5.07 Bo Scarbrough RB Cowboys

Very good college experience might translate well when Elliott gets suspended again.

5.12 TBA!

I did announce this pick but changed my mind.
